A monitor comes with each floor heating kit. It is connected to the heating cable before the start of the install & must stay connected until the floor finish is completed. The monitor comes with a 9v battery & will last about 2 weeks. A white light indicates that the battery is still good. If any of the floor process is not complete by the time the battery goes flat, then the battery must be changed.

General Information

A floor heating alarm is a safety device designed to detect damage to heating cables during installation or operation. All our floor heating kits come with the alarm monitor included. Irrespective of the monitor connected to the heater, electrical continuity tests are more accurate and should be the benchmark to check heater.
